Lesson administration
This lesson will focus on the correct pronunciation of the letter d.
At the beginning of words, the letter d makes a sound that is very similar to the English letter 'd'. However, it is often much softer, especially between vowels.
The reason that the Spanish d is softer than the English 'd' is because the sound of the Spanish d comes from the tongue touching the back of the top teeth rather than up on the roof of the mouth.
